8, 1982 in Saint James, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. She is a rapper,
singer, and songwriter, who became famous after releasing the mixtapes ‘Playtime
Is Over’, ‘Sucka Free’, and ‘Beam Me Up Scotty’. Her first studio album, Pink
Friday, reached the top rank on the US Billboard 200 and was certified triple
platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Niki’s following
albums ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’, ‘The Pinkprint’, and ‘Queen’ gained wide
international recognition as well. Being the first female artist included on
MTV's annual Hottest MC List, Niki has been called one of the most influential
female rap artists of all time. She sold more than 5 million albums worldwide,
20 million singles as a lead artist and 60 million singles as a featured
artist. Nicki Minaj received an impressive number of awards, including 10
Grammy Award nominations, 4 MTV Video Music Awards, 4 Billboard Music Awards, 6
American Music Awards, 11 BET Awards, and a Billboard Women in Music Rising
